You know, little white lies. If everyone were brutally honest, well, there would be a lot of egos crushed and hearts broken unnecessarily. <br />For example (and this is a bit extreme but it's the first thing that popped up 'cause I read about it today):<br />Someone with dimentia has forgotten important events from their past. She often asks who will cook dinner for her son. She's told that her son died 5 years earlier, and she becomes anguished all over again.
